Our Mission:

Moravia has been in the Oak Ridge area since 1896. We endeavor to serve Christ by embodying the love we have been shown in the community around us and beyond.

We seek to be at peace with all people and show the love of Christ in every aspect of fellowship, service, worship, and life together.

Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped him, but they doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, β€œAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

-Matthew 28:16-20

The church shares the Gospel and is a servant in the world as Christ was a servant to the world.

The church provides a place of fellowship for people to be one in the Lord despite differences such as gender, sexuality, wealth, ethnicity, or physical and mental ability.

-The Moravian Catechism p.32

Jesus Christ maintains in love and faithfulness His commitment to this fallen world. Therefore we must remain concerned for this world. We may not withdraw from it through indifference, pride or fear. Together with the universal Christian Church, the Unitas Fratrum challenges humanity with the message of the love of God, striving to promote the peace of the world and seeking to attain what is best for all. For the sake of this world, the Unitas Fratrum hopes for and looks to the day when the victory of Christ will be manifest over sin and death and the new world will appear.
